Overview:
The incumbent will be responsible for developing and managing the consensus demand forecast for Southeast Asia (SEA), consolidating input from market demand planners to ensure accurate forecasts that help the business meet volume and value targets.Key duties include analyzing historical data, creating a statistically driven 36-month forecast, and ensuring this forecast is well-communicated and accepted by the markets and planning teams. This requires evaluating findings, providing insights, and effectively communicating with stakeholders. The goal is to create a trusted forecast that serves as a common starting point for all markets, supporting Market Collaboration Managers with data and insights.This role will lead the demand planning process, aiming for best-in-class accuracy and contributing to the improvement of the S&OP+ (Sales and Operations Planning) process across the organization.Context and Scope:
E2E understanding of Supply Chain with detailed knowledge in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, Inventory Management. Ability to present complex analysis in understandable forms to business stakeholders including the ability to articulate the needs of the business and the customers to supply chain stakeholders.Process owner of Demand management for SEA.Train market collaboration managers/market demand planners on Demand planning process, tools & ensure the compliance.Responsibilities:
Statistical Forecast Generation & Analysis
Prepare and refine forecast data sets- collect, clean, validate ensuring collaboration with market teams as needed to maintain data integrity and relevance.Develop statistical forecasts for the markets, considering key demand drivers and aligning with the market collaboration manager/market demand planner.Conduct thorough research on demand drivers and collaborate closely with the market collaboration manager to accurately incorporate these drivers into the forecast.Select the most appropriate statistical models for forecasting items, considering factors such as seasonality, responsiveness, cannibalization, trends etc.,Convert complex statistical outcomes into clear, actionable business insights to help Market Collaboration Manager facilitate productive discussions within the market teams.Track & report key performance indicators (KPIs), such as forecast accuracy, forecast bias, MAPE, and forecast value add, across multiple levels and timeframes, and provide in-depth analysis and recommendations for improvements in process, data quality, statistical modelling or forecast visualisation/ explanation.Support New Product Development by analyzing proposals for like-SKUs and collaborate with the Market Collaboration manager to develop initial forecasts for new products, considering potential cannibalization impacts.SEA Demand Consolidation & Review
Lead the consolidation of the consensus rolling 36-month demand forecast for SEA, integrating inputs from statistical forecast models/demand planning tool and market demand planners.Review demand forecast of SEA at aggregated level and compare underlying demand drivers and assumptions across markets.Identify gaps to target at the aggregated level and collaborate across the end-to-end planning organization to address major risks and opportunities provided by markets, ensuring alignment and responsiveness throughout the process.Active participant of DMR/Step 2 for all markets in SEA. Provides insights to Integrated planning manager on consensus forecast, demand drivers, risks & opportunities across the horizon to share in S&OP process steps.Owns forecast performance KPIs, regularly reviewing metrics from previous cycles and collaborating with Market Collaboration managers to develop action plans for continuous improvement.Demand Planning Process Improvement
Conducts health checks on demand planning feeder meetings to ensure that processes are sustained at the intended maturity level with adherence to the relevant weekly and periodic standards.Functional expert for Demand planning tool In SEA.Lead Demand planning process maturity assessment and partner with market collaboration managers for continuous improvement plans.Evaluate improvement opportunities / new capabilities from software providers.Stakeholder Management
Form key stakeholder relationships across supply, demand, market and S&OP+ teams. Create the bridge between these functions, providing latest sales forecast, trend, statistical analysis and demand indicators.Challenges peers and colleagues and surfaces tensions to ensure that the demand plans are robust and realistic.Qualifications & Other Requirements:
Education & Professional Qualification
Post Graduate- MBA with experience in Demand Planning/Supply Chain.Proficient in EnglishGood communication skillsKnowledge/Experience
