In this role, you will be responsible for performing activities contributing to the design and development of Steam Turbine components, solutions and systems including the activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Knowledge of Steam turbine fundamentals & engineering tools like Ansys and UG will be preferred.
As a Steam Turbine Design Engineer, your role includes (but is not limited to) the following:
Executing Steam Turbine Customer Requisition projects: Understanding project requirements through contractual specifications, Performing Conceptual design, thermodynamics, and performance evaluation, thrust analysis & Rotordynamics verification.Performing the mechanical integrity and performance assessment of existing and new flow path components: analyzing the functionality, life and performance of turbine components.Conducting trade-off analysis of the possible design solutions. Developing ST components drawings and BOMs.Performing design, analysis & evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles, adhering to business standards.Performing FE Analysis of ST components when required by the project.Delivering project activities individually & as part of a team.Interacting & working with cross-functional teams.Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Master’s degree (MSc/ ME/ MTech) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 1 year of Industrial experience.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Right attitude & BehaviorAbility to work independently & in Team.Strong problem-solving skills.Hands-on experience in Engineering tools like Ansys and UG will be preferred.Understanding of the properties of steam & Knowledge of Steam turbine design will be preferred.Strong Mechanical design fundamentals (Strength of material, Mechanical system Design, Thermodynamics, Vibrations, rotor dynamics, etc).Knowledge of Rotordynamics is preferred.Work in a way that works for you
