Roles and Responsibilities
Define / Develop standard plans for Steam Rotor repairs.Provide technical leadership and problem solving to the shop floor during rotor repairs and new buildsProvide leadership and project management to rotor welding upgradesProvide strong communication to define and tie machining cell into the repair on a timely basisCross Functional Interface with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and other manufacturing cells including, but not limited to Machining and the Balance cell.Develop build books, project folder creation and maintenance for life of project.Develop/ Maintain and continually improve the training programs for operators.Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketUses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.Lead improvement efforts for equipment reliability, tooling, process controls, and safety/ergonomic solutionsDevelop work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process controlSupport product qualifications as neededWork as an operations leaderRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of relevant experience
Desired Characteristics
The base pay range for this position is $90,400.00 - $120,500.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10 % variable incentive compensation.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
