Description: Seeking a CAD Draftsman/Detailer that will be responsible for producing CAD drawings and steel components to buildings such as: railings, platforms, stairs, tool devices, screen guards, decorative metal and ladders will need to be placed. • Revise and update existing drawings replacing steel components and create new construction drawings • Prepare shop, fabrication and erection drawings for submittal and production, material lists for construction projects, bills of materials, etc. • Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes • Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other project documentation and successfully implement that information in the design • Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment installations, equipment and plant engineering • Field measure existing job sites and utilize those measurements to generate accurate fabricating and erection drawings • Identify any problems with a project’s design and write clear, concise RFI’s to find solutions • Closely work with shop and field personnel to solve problems during fabrication or erection as they may arise • Closely work with internal program coordinator to meet or exceed project deadlines Skills: autocad, steel detailer, steel, detailing, tekla, structural steel, Revit, Cad detailer, fabrication, Structural detailing Top Skills Details: autocad Additional Skills & Qualifications: MUST -2 years within AutoCAD and steel detailing NICE Tekla software is HUGE nice to have Technology Management or Structural Eng degree Revit or BIM ExSteel Knowledge of AISC standards NISD (National Institute of Steel Detailing) Welding Experience Level: Entry Level About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
