Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Steelwork Engineer to join us on a new project. The key responsibilities of this role include:

Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode3 other relevant codesLiaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the designMaintaining QA procedures in delivering the SW designWorking with the CAD designers in the preparation of the design 
drawings/modelsManaging engineering changes in line with company procedures Resolving identified technical issuesReceive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input dataProduces the deliverables for which they are responsible (assumption notes, technical specifications, calculation notes)Coordinate CAD Design Perform design activities for fastenings and anchorages in concreteDevelop substantiation reports and complete surveillance of applicable 
technical documentsPerform technical verifications of civil engineering documents for their 
buildingCreate and maintain and responsible for the Design Risk Register Responsible for anchorage design activities

Qualifications

Essential:

Design of seismically classified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design deliveryKnowledge / Understanding of PWRs would be an advantageKnowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulationsExperience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageousKnowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and knowledge of the design of fastenings and anchorages in concreteKnowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structuresKnows how to deal with the design and layout constraints
