About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

We are currently seeking a number of Steelwork Engineers who will be producing steelwork platform designs compliant with Eurocode3, ETC-C and liaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the design. Key responsibilities will be\:

Maintaining clients QA procedures in delivering the SW design Working with the CAD designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures Resolving identified technical issues Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data Produces the deliverables for which they are responsible (assumption notes, technical specifications, calculation notes) Coordinate CAD Design and perform design activities for fastenings and anchorages in concrete Develop substantiation reports and complete surveillance of applicable technical documents  *

Knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures Design of seismically classified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design delivery Use of 3D modelling and structural analysis tools Knowledge / Understanding of PWRs would be an advantage An understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous
