Contract days will be 210 per year. Major roles and responsibilities will include consulting with school district staff to evaluate the service needs of students. This will include working one on one with students, diagnosing mental health conditions and providing treatments, and working with families to meet student’s individual mental and emotional health needs. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Ohio Department of Education License in School Psychology secured by August 1, 2025 Strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree Experience in a school setting Essential Functions and percent of time: 70% Testing, gathering information, observations, meeting with teachers Consults with school district staff to evaluate service needs of students. Provides psycho-educational testing and assessments. Provides consultation services that promote student’s mental health and facilitates student learning Administers diagnostic tests and interprets results Observes students in classroom setting and records observations Obtains informed written consent of parents/guardians before assessment and/or providing services
20% Writing reports Interprets testing results Helps formulate and guide the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and 504 Plans for students Shares knowledge and resources that enhance student learning
10% Participate in various meetings (including IEPs, 504 Plans, conferences, etc.) and Professional Development opportunities Participates in staff meetings and professional growth opportunities as directed. Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.
