The teacher will plan and deliver health and fitness curriculum to 8th grade students. The key instruction strategy will be project based learning (training will be provided). Integration with other subject areas will occur as the students engage in real world application of their learning. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree earned by August 1, 2025
• 4-9 or 7-12 teaching license or qualified for alternative license by August 1, 2025
• Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with project-based or problem-based learning and accompanying differentiated assessments
• Master’s degree or masters level coursework completed Essential Functions and percent of time: •Plan and deliver Wellness & Fitness instruction – 65%
•Collaborate with other teachers to develop and refine content & materials – 30%
•Participate in various meetings (including IEP’s, conferences, etc.) and professional development opportunities – 5% Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd): Non-Essential Functions and percent of time: Working Conditions Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
