Sterile Compounding Pharmacist

Village Lane RX is currently looking to extend our full time pharmacy staff with a pharmacist for the 6am-3pm shift.\n

Overview\n

We are a closed-door sterile compounding pharmacy, is seeking a pharmacist to help manage its multistate operations. We currently serves patients in 25 states from its facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The ideal candidate will possess state licenses in Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Ohio (and other key states), and be motivated to help patients participating in coordinated care arrangements in those states, while leading in a collaborative, fast-paced, and fun environment.\n

Competencies and Essential Functions:\n

Under the guidance of the PIC:\n\nVerify prescription medications prior to dispensing them from the pharmacy, including unit dose and compounding and shipment documentation\nEnsure compliance with federal laws, state laws, and the standards of practice which govern the pharmacy profession\nMaintains full control over delivering, stocking, and labeling preparations; monitors their condition to prevent expiration or deterioration.\nSafeguards operations and preparations by ensuring staff follow all safety and quality control procedures and guidelines for compounding\nOversees the cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of equipment and work areas.\nInterprets and clarifies prescription orders with prescribing practitioner(s) as necessary.\nCreates, prints and\/or checks documents such as master formulation records, batch records, compounding records, labels and shipping documents.\nPerforms random compounding process audits to ensure quality standards are achieved.\nCommunicates with third party couriers to coordinate inbound\/outbound shipments.\nFacilitates team environment to ensure company meets and exceeds daily order goals.\nOther duties, responsibilities, and activities, as needed.\n\n

Supervisory Responsibilities\n\nPerforms in-process and final checks of medication.\nEnsures all pharmacy logs and reports are completed efficiently, accurately and on time.\nAs appropriate, inputs patient and prescription information and\/or supervises such work as performed by others licensed to do so.\nEnsures all non-pharmacy staff (including visitors and vendors) adhere to guidance, rules and regulations, as applicable.\nSterile compounding experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting and managing patient care required.\n\n

Other Requirements:\n

Maintain a current, unrestricted TX pharmacy license, RPh or PharmD, Must be able to work 6am-3pm Mon-Fri Minimum 2 years Pharmacist experience, Sterile IV Certification required, Multiple state licenses preferred (ideally including TX, AR, OH)
