Job Responsibilities:

The Sterile Processing Educator designs and coordinates educational programs for the new graduate to promote competence and a successful transition into their new role.  Provides expertise in the department and quality in the practice setting.  Orients, educates, and develops new graduates to ensure competence and ability to fulfill specified responsibilities.  Provides support to the new graduates to ensure a smooth transition to the work environment.  Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the clinical and social adjustment needs of new hires.

 

Position Requirements:

Certification - Certified Registered Central Service Technician or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Licensure - None required Experience - 5 years of progressive work experience in SPD and adult education learning and development Education - Associate degree (or relevant experience in lieu of degree)
