Come build your career with us! **Job Summary and Qualifications** + You will be responsible for day-to-to operations of the Sterile Processing Department, supervise sterile processing techs, and work in conjunction with OR Clinical Nurse Coordinator and OR staff and be responsible for the safe disinfection, cleaning and processing of all instruments and sterile devices within the organization + You will ensure proper orientation, training, competency validation, and ongoing performance management of the sterile processing team and coordinate and direct the completion of all duties and responsibilities in the Sterile Processing area + You will handle payroll and other Human Resources duties including interviewing, candidate selection, onboarding, and coaching/ corrective action and be responsible for understanding and meeting an established budget each month and on an annual basis + You will be a forward thinker who tries new things, evaluates efficiency and ensures optimal operation of their unit at all times, working to grow others through formal succession planning, and ensuring all staff continue to develop in their role + This position reports to the VP of Surgical Services **What qualifications you will need:** + Graduate from high school or equivalent program required + Graduate from an accredited Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technician program preferred + Sterile Processing or Surgical Technician Certification required upon hire + Minimum 3-5 years recent experience in sterile processing; in an acute care setting preferred + Previous supervisory experience required; PC Knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Spreadsheets HCA Healthcare has been named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere Institute for ten consecutive years (2010-2019).
