The Central Sterile Processing Department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is dedicated to providing its customers with courteous and reliable service. Central Sterile Processing is responsible for the reprocessing of instrumentation and supply distribution for Surgical Services and other departments, such as Labor and Delivery and the Emergency Department. **Preferred Qualifications** **Role Purpose** Directs and supports sterile processing staff to provide quality, efficient, cost-effective decontamination, sterilization and distribution services with proper management of service utilization and inventory levels. **Responsibilities** + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. + Collaborates with other departments to ensure the appropriate professional standards are consistently applied. + Provides decontamination and sterilization evaluation planning, operations and maintenance consultation to management at BJC organizations. + Assists or manages the operations of unit services and integration with other departments.-- + Provides input and may create effective work plans that include identifying the correct resources, processes and space needed for the work unit. + Monitors surgery schedule of cases to assure proper instruments are available. + May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals.
