Title: Sterile Processing Systems & Education Coordinator

Summary:

The S.P.D. Education and Systems Coordinator is responsible for orientation, education and training within the Sterile Processing Department. Job responsibilities include assessment, development and implementation of educational activities that teach and improve professional competencies for team members. Including, but not limited to:

Training in regulatory agency requirementsAnnual safety and infection control updatesCompletion of orientation documentationOn-going training in all areas of S.P.D. Administration of the S.P.D. computer module, S.P.M.Working knowledge of the Operating Room scheduling system, Par ExcellenceWorking knowledge of the current materials management systems for purchasing medical supplies.

Certification and Licensure:

Required – CBSPD Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist

 

Education:

Required – High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

 

Experience:
