Requirements: 

High School Diploma or GED required.Prior knowledge of basic principles of sterilization, surgical instrumentation, and disinfecting is preferred.  Communication skills, listening abilities, ability to deal with stress, ability to react to emergency and crisis situations.Must be a registered certified central service technician within 18 months of hire.Current BLS from the AHA or ARC

About the Job:

Sterilizes, cleans, wraps, stores and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment used in patient care.Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
