As our Sterile Processing Tech at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, you’ll help our team oversee the sterilization and cleaning of medical equipment, instruments or supplies in a sterile processing environment.
To excel as a sterile processing technician, you must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and possess a strong working knowledge of various sterilization techniques, including handling fragile equipment.

Responsibilities
Monitor and operate sterilization equipment effectively.Thoroughly examine supplies to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.Test and report any issues or problems with the sterilization equipmentSterilize, prepare, wrap and organize equipment into instrument trays for use during medical proceduresPrepare and deliver all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical procedures and medical cartsMaintain records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance and supplies
Qualifications
High School Diploma, or GED Required Preferably certified as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
