The Ten Mile Ambulatory Surgery Center is now hiring for two PRN/On-Call Sterile Processing Technicians!
Position Summary & Highlights:The Sterile Processing (SP) Technician performs decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization and storage of re-usable surgical instrumentation.
The Ten Mile Surgery Center is a multi-specialty center supporting General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Gynecology, and more serving a variety of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Saint Alphonsus Health System offers a full range of surgical services, including both inpatient and outpatient surgery serving in communities from Southwest Idaho to Southeast Oregon.
What You Will Do:Clean, inspect, and package surgical instruments, specialty sets and other re-usable instruments following all surgical procedures following regulations established by OSHA, The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare, and Saint Alphonsus.
Operate sterilization equipment including washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers, other sterilizers, heat sealers, and Sterris machines.
Order and restock the surgery department with supplies and instruments.
On occasion prepare surgical case carts and respond to requests for instrumentation and /or supplies for surgical procedures.
An ideal candidate will have healthcare/medical experience, knowledge of sterilization and/or surgical instruments, and have worked in a fast-paced environment.
You will also be a team player, flexible and are able to work independently, but confident in asking questions.
You will also have an opportunity to work on your CRCST or CSPDT national certification.
Work Schedule:This is a PRN position and works as needed, but a minimum of a few shifts a month (could be just a few hours at a time).
Currently the Ambulatory Surgery Center is open Tuesdays - Fridays, but starting on October 7th, the facility will be open Mondays - Thursdays
This position will not work weekends.
Certified Tech Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Maintains CRCST or CSPDT certification.
1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Tech
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Non-Certified Tech Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Orientation and Training:General Orientation is virtual and in-person your first week.
You will train on the job in the different areas of Sterile Processing (decontamination, cleaning, instrument reassembly, and sterilization).
