System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department-assignment availability is based on the needs of the health system. Monday-Friday 8-hour shiftsHospital Location/Shift times varies. Current needs are for 2nd shift: 1p-930pm, 230pm-11pm, 3pm-1130pm, 5pm-130am. Night shift also available 11pm-730am St Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.The Sterile Processing Technician - Certified is responsible for the decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures.
Required specific skills also includes knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items, as well asKnowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up and interpreting policies, procedures, and protocols and reviewing performance in compliance with recognized standards.As a BayCare SRO Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will be required to float throughout the BayCare Health System as the needs dictate.Required Experience is 1 year in sterile processing. Required- Sterile Processing CertificationRequired- High School or EquivalentRequired Experience is minimum of 1 year.
