Responsible for activities including, but not limited to decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation including various software applications, assembly, and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and working in collaboration with surgical partners to provide accurate and complete surgical instrumentation and needed supplies.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Certificate from an approved CSS technician program or in the process of achieving certification
Experience
One year experience as Sterile Services Technician preferred. Knowledge of instruments and sterilization procedures Knowledge of safety precautions and hazards of steam, ethylene oxide (ETO), and periascetic acid processing.

Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician provides sterile supplies and aseptic equipment to be used in patient care utilizing the proper processing of instrumentation and supplies, to include cleaning, packaging, processing, storage, and appropriate documentation.
