Job Summary The Sterile Processing Technician is an integral part of the Surgical Services team. This staff member performs and participates in the decontamination, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment in a manner that consistently follows infection control and safety standards. Job Requirements + A high school diploma or GED is required. + Certification required or in process. Must sit for the exam once requirements are met. + Previous Central Sterile experience preferred. + Attention to detail is a must. + Ability to read instructions and follow them appropriately. + Ability to work well alone or with a team.
