We are looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Central Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the activities related to decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments. He/she will also be able to provide all necessary supplies for assembly for procedures. The technician performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC. **What qualifications you will need:** + Central Service certification preferred / not required + High school diploma/GED preferred + One to three years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician or Operating Room Technician preferred. + Basic to advanced knowledge in the role of instrumentation as well as decontamination and sterilization of instruments. + Demonstrates good organizational skills. + Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
