Cleans, disinfects, and processes supplies, instrumentation, and equipment, both sterile and unsterile to ProMedica facilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
*All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise*
1. Decontaminates instruments, supplies and equipment according to established policies and procedures.
2. Maintains adequate supplies and equipment to meet area’s needs including inventory control, proper labeling, inspection of linen and labeling of packages.
3. Performs biological and chemical monitoring in accordance with quality assurance standards, records information and maintains logs.
4. Sterilizes instruments, equipment and supplies as required; assembles and wraps instrument trays and other supplies; handles and stores instruments, equipment and supplies appropriately.
5. Maintains and updates instrument tray cards specific to surgeon/physician preference, procedure requirements, and individual unit needs.
6. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
