THE ROLE
The Steward is responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the kitchen and related equipment, utensils, and materials. The Steward is also responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of utensils for all outlets throughout the Rogers Centre in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reports directly to Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef at the beginning & end of each shift Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Legends Hospitality’s policies, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the business. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working. Comply with Legends Hospitality’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient stadium operations. Ensure all staff report for duty punctually and in appropriate attire. Reading, interpreting and following the menu Train line staff as needed or by Chef request Ensure preparation of all equipment, dishes, cutlery, kitchen equipment, maintain of the kitchen cleanliness are completed according to establish guidelines. Clean soiled utensils, pots and pans as needed Empty garbage Clean, sweep and mop the Kitchen Ensure Kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized Ensure an adequate supply of cleaning products ex: paper towels, soap, sanitizing material and garbage bags are fully stocked and replenished as needed Report any broken equipment to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef Support Catering meetings and events through equipment setup and takedown Comply with all Legends Hospitality Health and Safety policies All other duties as assigned by ManagerQUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in a similar setting or operation will be considered an asset Ability to follow instructions Organizational skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Ability push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs. Comfortable working in a non-toxic chemical environment Ability operate heavy equipment, dishwasher machine, pot washer machine, power washer, etc. Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
