Stewardship Officer

We are hiring a Stewardship Officer who will create and manage a program dedicated to the personalized stewardship of UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s top donors. She/he will work closely with the Strategic Engagement and the Development teams to collaboratively develop and coordinate the execution of customized plans, thereby creating a personalized stewardship experience for each donor included in his/her assigned portfolio. The Stewardship Officer will focus on donor satisfaction with strategies being driven by the donor’s interests and informed by their past, current, and future giving. The Stewardship Officer will be strategic in his/her partnership with Prospect Managers, will navigate the complexities and competing priorities of stewardship needs, and meet project timelines and deliverables. The outcome of this work will result in enhanced donor experiences for the Foundation’s highest-level donors and strengthen fundraising efforts through donor retention. 
The person in this role will work out of the TechMill location and have the opportunity to work remotely on Fridays. 

Responsibilities:

Oversees the creation and implementation of customized stewardship strategies designed to maintain and cultivate long-term, quality relationships with donors. Works in collaboration with the Strategic Engagement and the Development teams to set and accomplish goals. Will create written communications, plans, and execute small private events and donor meetings/tours, and create/order customized stewardship touches, as needed. Proactively manages and tracks stewardship strategy pipeline development and various communication materials needed for outreach. Serves as project manager and ensures deadlines are met. Develops quantifiable goals to evaluate success, track appropriate metrics and develops reports to monitor effectiveness of strategies. Responsible for the oversight, execution, and stewardship of lectureships. Manages donor recognition and naming opportunities tracking software and works with Prospect Managers and Vice President, Strategic Engagement to identify opportunities for proposals and agreements. Serves as Foundation’s point person in creating, managing, and sending donor thank you videos via ThankView. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred. Preference given to candidates with donor relations, stewardship, or development experience. Excels at project management and can effectively and accurately execute competing priorities. Exceptional attention to detail. Creative inquiry and idea generation. Strong collaborator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
