Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit nearly 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at in our Manufacturing Facility. Soon follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities.
We are seeking a Stillage Coordinator to join our Logistics & Warehouse team in Goole. In this key role, you will manage the entire supply chain for stillages and reusable packaging systems, supporting our manufacturing operations as an essential member of the Warehouse team.

Owning end-to-end supply chain management of stillages and reusable packaging systems for manufacturing activities within the Goole Manufacturing Facility. Ensuring smooth material flow by integrating multi-way packaging into the supply chain, managing reusable packaging inventory, and coordinating necessary repairs and maintenance. Collaborating with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure they have the appropriate stillages to dispatch materials effectively to our factory. An understanding of materials supply chains and the importance of ensuring materials delivered to our manufacturing facility have the appropriate packaging to avoid damage in transport or through the loading / offloading process. Ability to be self-driven and strong communication skills both inside our internal logistics department and with our suppliers to ensure that our materials supply chain keeps always flowing smoothly. Ability to analyse data successfully to ensure that our stillages are at the right place in the supply chain loop (supplier - transport - warehouse - production line) so we can ensure material availability. Competence in inventory management as each stillage needs to be accounted for regularly as part of our asset management routines.It would also be helpful to have the following:
