STIPEND OPPORTUNITY: Special Education Assessor - RELATED SERVICES
Special Application Procedures: THIS IS A STIPEND OPPORTUNITY Terms/Salary Grade: A stipend of $225-$300 per assessment area (please see breakdown below), per student will be provided to each assessor. IEP meeting attendance will be reimbursed per BTU stipend hourly rate of $56.81. If the meeting is not held for any reason, (ex. Not scheduled, not conducted as anticipated due to lack of caregiver attendance), no compensation will be provided. Zoom timestamps must be submitted as proof that the meeting occurred. STIPEND OPPORTUNITY DATES: 6/24/24 to 8/9/24 Discipline Stipend per Case Adaptive Physical Education $225 Occupational Therapy $250 Orientation & Mobility $300 Physical Therapy $250 Speech Therapy $300 Teachers of the Visually Impaired $300 Teachers of the Deaf/Audiology $300 Meetings BTU Rate $56.81 Per hour REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Related Services or their designee. STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) is in need of current BPS Teachers/Related Service Providers to administer Special Education Testing. Related Service Assessors will need to be familiar with administering, scoring, and interpreting the assessments in their respective areas. This is an in-person opportunity that is slated to begin on 6/24/24 and end on 8/9/24. Assessments will be conducted at designated testing centers city-wide. RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the stipend opportunity, Assessors will be required to: Administer the assessment in-person and complete the evaluation reporting components. The evaluation report will be an original document written by the assessor and will contain testing results, description of subtests administered, interpretation of the results, and recommendations. *A generated test summary from testing platforms will not be an acceptable form of an evaluation report. Upload the assessment results and reports into EdPlan three days prior to the meeting. Attend the TEAM meeting during the summer or contact the TEAM member presenting the assessment results to discuss findings at the TEAM meeting. The stipend will be paid out once the work is completed, uploaded in EdPlan and approved by the Senior Director of Related Services or their designee. QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED: Currently working in Boston Public Schools; Experience administering Related Services approved battery of tests; and Appropriate licensure for administering assessment.
