Job Description
We are a concrete manufacturing plant that works with utility companies, produces custom work for various businesses, and creates highway rails and other concrete products. The role involves patch repair and preparation of products for delivery in accordance with our Quality Control Plan.
ResponsibilitiesClean, prepare, and patch concrete products.Remove concrete products from production area to stockyard area.Comply with all applicable rules and regulations, especially safety.Burn with oxy/acetylene (natural gas) equipment.Operate hand tools, drills, saws, core drills, generators, drill press, and cut-off saws.Understand chain charts and lift capabilities of all chains and lifting bars.Load and offload fleet equipment according to paperwork provided by Dispatch and Stockyard Leader, as well as vendor equipment.Move truck tractor and flatbeds to be properly loaded.Operate SMV loader and boom trucks to facilitate loading and unloading.Keep work area clean and perform other housekeeping operations.Attendance is an essential function of the job.Essential SkillsExperience with hand and power tools.Ability to read a tape measure.Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, and working with fractions.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Physical ability to perform job tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, climbing, and overhead reaching.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior concrete labor or construction experience is a plus.Own personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, and work boots is a plus.Concrete finishing, rebar, assembly, carpentry, or production experience is beneficial.Ability to understand and follow simple instructions and memos.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to high places, outside weather conditions, wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. The environment is older, loud at times, dark, and dirty, resembling an indoor construction site. Employees must be prepared for physical demands such as lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing onto forms, and performing overhead reaching and bending. Appropriate attire includes steel toe work boots (recommended but not required), long work pants, and a t-shirt.
