We strive to hire people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger\. ## **Job Summary** The Storage Trader will be working under the direction of the Director, Gulf Coast Trading\. ## **Job Duties & Responsibilities** + Decide when to inject natural gas into storage facilities and when to withdraw gas based on market pricing and anticipated demand fluctuations\. + Optimize inventory management processes to minimize holding costs, optimize utilization, and mitigate risks associated with commodity price fluctuations and market dynamics + Collaborate with trading teams to forecast storage requirements, optimize inventory levels, and develop hedging strategies to manage price risk + Establish and maintain relationships with storage providers, negotiate contracts, and monitor service levels to ensure cost\-effective and reliable storage solutions + Evaluate and execute Park and Loan agreements \(PALs\) to assist trading optimization efforts + Actively participate in negotiations of daily, monthly, and long term firm and interruptible transportation + Monitor operational pipeline issues and constraints on a daily basis and communicate possible concerns to adequately prepare for daily and monthly gas trading + Work with legal and regulatory on pipeline tariff changes and docket submissions + Provide backup daily trading duties as directed ## **Job Specific Skills** + Working knowledge of natural gas pipeline grid and tariffs, gas sales contracts and gas transportation agreements + Thorough knowledge of natural gas fundamentals, including production, transportation, storage infrastructure, and price drivers\. + Self\-motivated and results oriented + Advanced economic evaluation and analytical skills with emphasis on intrinsic and extrinsic modeling capabilities + Concise reporting skills + Able to build relationships and is excellent in communicating with customers + Strong presentation and technical writing skills ## **Education** Minimum: Bachelor’s degree \- from accredited university preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or related major ## **Experience** 10 years of storage, transportation or scheduling experience Expand Energy takes necessary action to ensure that all applicants are treated without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, pregnancy, military or veteran status or any other protected characteristic as established by law\.
