Description
We are in search of a Storage Engineer III to join our team in the healthcare and social assistance sector, based in Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and recommending storage hardware, software, cloud and tools solutions based on user requirements. You will also be involved in maintaining and enhancing the storage environment, liaising with vendors as necessary, and working with a team of Server Engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Develop solutions for storage hardware, software, cloud and tools based on user requirements.
• Provide technical development of SAN and cloud storage architecture, design, planning, implementation and support.
• Handle problem resolution concerning the storage environment, reaching out to vendors when needed.
• Develop and maintain corporate-wide communications standards and procedures.
• Resolve complex SAN and cloud storage environment problems.
• Evaluate the feasibility of new cloud, hardware, software and tools as they become available.
• Test, evaluate and install new hardware, software and tools related to the corporate LAN/network and hybrid cloud environment.
• Collaborate with a team of Server Engineers in the installation support of systems in the corporate environment.
• Create and maintain a three-year storage plan, including budget assumptions.
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
• Expert in Fiber Channel Network
• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
• Must have a solid understanding of Cluster Analysis
• Must have knowledge and experience in managing Enterprise Storage
• Expertise in NetApp Storage is essential
• Familiarity with SAN - Storage Area Network is necessary
• Experience in Storage Replication is required
• Proficiency in Storage Virtualization is a must
• Strong understanding of Storage Concepts is essential
• Must have the ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required
• Must have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Must adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct.
