Store Engineering Electrical Project Manager

Kwik Trip Inc. The desired individual will be responsible for electrical and lighting related projects at our Retail locations. Some responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to NEC (National Electrical Code) review and compliance, electrical design coordination, electrical plans coordination, contractor coordination, material supplier coordination, site visits, inspections, equipment replacement/upgrades, budgeting, and other various projects as needed. This individual will also be responsible for leading vendors to plan and complete assigned projects for new and existing Retail locations. Because this role has an important vendor relations & customer service component, excellent communication skills are necessary. We highly value positive attitude, dependability, attention to detail, and teamwork.

 

This individual must live, be willing to relocate to, or commute to the La Crosse, WI area.

 

Qualifications: Prior electrical industry field experience is desired, other skillsets such as electrical designer or electrical engineer will also be considered. Previous electrical project management experience is also desired, but not required. We have a knowledgeable team that will help develop the right candidate. Additional qualifications include: Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials; strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to project stakeholders; ability to collect, analyze, and interpret information into meaningful results; ability to manage multiple projects; ability to embrace change and new processes within the department and company; lead, teach, and persuade others through cooperation and teamwork; ability to provide coworkers and vendors with timely and professional job performance feedback; exercise sound judgment within company guidelines; follow and enforce company policies; meet department & company deadlines; ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision; maintain schedule to complete projects on time and budget; strong organizational skills; excellent customer service skills; problem solving skills to handle issues when they arise; strong computer skills; working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office products Is desired; valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.

 

 

Work schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday daytime hours with some evening meetings and overnights. This role requires some travel. The hours may vary and are based on the needs/schedules of the Store Engineering Department. The average work week is approximately 45 hours. Flexibility in schedule.
