Store Inventory Planner (Hybrid)
Job Description

Team Member will be required to come into our Raleigh HQ four days a week.

The Store Inventory Planner provides analysis, executes processes, and utilizes business tools and metrics to ensure Distribution Center (DC) and Store Availability.    This role collaborates with cross-functional partners to drive business strategies & is the primary vendor contact for their respective business.  Store Inventory Planners will own and drive their business while also working with Sr. Planners on larger business functions to ensure global team success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Inventory Planning – Develop and manage holistic plans for both DC/Store level plans as warranted (seasonal, promo, special accounts, etc.) by utilizing tools and procedures within the replenishment system.  Systems will optimize the automated replenishment based on sales, defined lead times, and order frequency to ensure meeting our inventory levels and in stock goals. Manage exceptions to maximize product flow to achieve objectives.

Inventory Allocation – Utilize the automated replenishment system to execute and maintain store/SKU levels to support sales and overall in-stock goals. Monitor SKU flow from Suppliers and DC’s, identify issues and drive to resolution with smaller scale categories/vendors.

Inventory Analysis – Performs SKU/DC and store level inventory analysis. Provide ad event analysis and recommendations. Provide special business opportunity analysis and make recommendations based on findings. Analyze and review non-productive inventory; create and monitor action plans to minimize inventory liability

Transition Management – Complete and track inventory balancing in product transitions.

Inventory Analysis – Perform store/SKU level inventory analysis to ensure in-stock goals.

Inventory Procurement & Vendor Mgmt– Adhere to OTB spend while achieving planned turnover and revenue growth. Partner with Demand Planner to provide suppliers with SKU level unit projections. Perform lead-time forecasting analysis. Perform receipt flow management in alignment with company objectives. Develop and support vendor relationships through daily interactions. Monitor open purchase orders.

Promotions Management- Perform analysis and review upcoming promotional forecasts and seasonal activity based on sales, inventory, and in stock expectations (minimum presentation standards). Partner with Merchant team in accurately forecasting sales results and inventory order needs for promotions.

Communication/Collaboration- Maintain collaborative partnerships with the DCs and Stores to ensure the rapid and efficient movement of goods through the supply chain and store issue resolution. Ensure appropriate DC product availability resulting in consistent product flow of merchandise inventories to Distribution Centers. Identify and communicate inventory changes to Transportation and Logistics teams.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain or similar field of study; and0-2 years business experience (Inventory, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning or Retail preferred); orEquivalent combination of education and experience
