Essential Job Functions: Through previous background and experience, the candidate must demonstrate, with or without an accommodation, the ability to:
Efficiently create complex documents and/or reports using spreadsheet software. Identify trends in specific Distribution Centers and communicate those to the correct parties for immediate process improvement. Share feedback with other liaisons regarding common issues and provide Operational feedback to improve Pet Care Center processes in regard to issues with receiving or damaged product.Conduct research on reported delivery discrepancies and makes key business decisions as to the assignment of the shrink allocation based off that research.Independently prioritize tasks and determine appropriate course of action to resolve issues. Aligns with leadership on global issues to create solutions.Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all contacts inside and outside the Company.Analyze a situation to determine appropriate course of action in a limited amount of time.Duties and Responsibilities:
Listen, troubleshoot, and resolve unusual and/or escalated delivery issues between Pet Care Centers and Distribution Centers in which the parties involved may feel flustered.Serve as the primary liaison for both main and regional Distribution Centers and Pet Care Centers.Answer standard, non-standard and urgent incoming calls, emails, chats and tickets regarding delivery issues.Compile data that measures performance as it pertains to deliveries, proper pallet assembly, damages, and driver feedback.Research delivery discrepancies to include delayed shipment arrivals, miss-shipment of merchandise, improper loading of merchandise into the trailers, lack of equipment, and insufficient number of drivers to determine root causes.Utilize the documented processes for reaching and reporting issues.Learn current aspects of PETCO distribution center operations. Update reference resources to reflect changes in procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Nature of Supervision:
Minimal supervision is provided, and general instruction is provided on some, but not all tasks to be completed and work is periodically checked upon completion. Non-routine tasks may be assigned which may last from one to several days without direct supervisory direction or guidance.
Supervisory Responsibility: Although this position generally does not entail supervising other employees, on occasion management may delegate additional responsibility to include providing functional training and guidance to others.
Education/Experience: The minimum educational background of an applicant to this position is a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED). Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and organizational skills are required. A minimum of 3 years’ customer service experience and/or vehicle dispatch is required, preferably in a warehouse environment and/or PETCO store. A working knowledge of computer fundamentals is also required, specifically using Excel and Word.
Work Environment: The duties of this position, while performed in an office environment inside a Distribution Center and may have some exposure to a warehouse environment in which there is exposure to heat, cold, dirt, dust, fumes and/or noise. Work duties are almost exclusively performed indoors, where the risk of minor injury should not be overlooked as a result of warehouse conditions.
Contacts: Contacts are primarily with warehouse associates, Pet Care Center partners, and third-party vendors. Interaction involves the routine and non–routine exchange of information and the resolution of moderately complex issues.
