Store Maintenance/Janitorial PT **Theisen Home Farm Auto** 1 Positions ID: 6818 Posted On 08/26/2024 **Job Overview** **Theisen’s offers a $2.50/hr shift premium for Saturday and Sunday for all store locations !!** **STORE MAINTENANCE/ JANITORIAL ASSOCIATE** **Employment Type:** Full Time or Part Time **Supervisor:** Store Manager **Job Description** Responsible for performing necessary maintenance duties in an effort to help preserve condition of the store. Duties will be varied and will include items such as stripping and polishing floors, painting, generic electrical, cleaning restrooms, plowing and shoveling snow. In addition to maintenance duties, they may make deliveries, drop-offs and pick-ups for store. **Qualifications** + High School diploma, GED, or trade school preferred + 3-12 months of general maintenance experience preferred + Completion of Lock Out/Tag Out OSHA Certification within 3 months of beginning employment + Valid driver’s License with a clean driving record **Job Duties** + Maintain generic electrical duties safely and appropriately + Shoveling and salt driveways and parking lots and keep all areas safe for customer and associate traffic + Refill pop machine and cooler, and maintain a complete inventory checklist for the machine + Clean and maintain supplies and mechanical functionality of the restrooms + Familiarize, interpret and incorporate safety requirements, environmental, Hazmat and OSHA rules and regulations throughout the store + Load and unload items as necessary for customers or store truck shipments + Other duties as request by management may include but are not limited to painting, general cleaning as needed, sweeping walks, cutting grass, performing other incidental seasonal tasks, making minor maintenance repairs such as repair minor damage in walls (forklift damage, etc.), simple plumbing issues (backed up toilets, etc.), applying caulk in bathroom, replacing broken floor tiles, assisting in repairing broken displays or shelving, and product assembly. **Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to work required shifts including nights and weekends, and maintain attendance standards. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. The associate must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer/cash register and/or RF. **Work Environment and Working Conditions** Work will normally be performed inside of the store facility; however, some work may occasionally be performed outside in conditions ranging from cold below 32 degrees to heat above 100 degrees. The work environment is usually fast paced with regular deadlines and sales expectations. Extreme noise and vibrations may occasionally be experienced. Associates may be subjected to hazards such as burns, cuts, electrical, explosive, and mechanical. Due to the nature of the work, associates may be exposed atmospheric conditions such as dust fumes, odors, and poor ventilation.
