Store Management Trainees-Northern NH

The Shaw’s/Star Market Division is looking for highly motivated individuals with the skills and abilities to successfully complete the Assistant Store Director Training Program. The purpose of this training program is to develop qualified associates to assume the Assistant Store Director position. 

 

The program lasts for 11 weeks. Trainees’ entire 40 hours of work each week must be fully dedicated to the program; to be able to complete all training requirements, vacations are not allowed during this time. 

 

Trainees (ASDTs) are re-assigned from their home store to a training store for the duration of the program. Trainees participate in a blend of virtual classroom instruction, independent study, and on-the-job training. 

 

Following the successful completion of the program, the trainee will be promoted to Assistant Store Director. 

Minimum Requirements

Ability to travel from one work site to another (for training, meetings, Company functions, or for temporary work assignments).   

Preferred Requirements

Retail experience with at least 6 months in role as a Department Manager or Person-In-Charge with supervisory and Profit & Loss Report experience Store closing experience

Physical Environment

Working conditions consist of a temperature-controlled store environment Ability to lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, move rapidly, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are necessary Exposure to approximately 150o Fahrenheit while handling products in hot cases, 35o Fahrenheit while handling products in cold cases, 28o Fahrenheit while handling products in coolers, and     -20o Fahrenheit while handling product in freezers
