The Store Manager in Training at CHEF'STORE is integral to preparing for a leadership role within the organization. This position involves participating in a comprehensive training program designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for managing a successful retail store. This role will be asked to travel to multiple stores within the district for training and to provide support. The role will assist the Store Manager (or act as a Store Manager). The Store Manager in Training will work closely with experienced management to understand store operations, including product merchandising and stocking, expense control, and achieving sales and profitability goals. The pay for the Position (edit) is $23-$33/hr
The starting rate is $30.00
Schedule: Must possess the ability to work a flexible hourly schedule, which includes holidays and weekends.
Willing to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage in a structured training program covering all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, customer service, and team leadership.
Deliver exceptional customer service by actively engaging with customers, addressing their needs, and fostering a welcoming environment for culinary professionals and food enthusiasts.
Collaborate with associates to promote an inclusive culture, encouraging diverse perspectives and ideas to enhance overall team performance.
Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Support the recruitment, training, and development of associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Learn to analyze the Profit and Loss (P&L) and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to drive business performance and achieve financial goals.
Understand and supervise strict controls regarding inventory standard operating procedures (SOPs), cash, checks, credit, and other critical aspects of the business, ensuring that all staff complies with company policies, procedures and store SOPs.
Support inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales performance, ensuring the store meets its financial goals while upholding our values.
Take initiative in problem-solving and decision-making processes, demonstrating courage in addressing challenges and pursuing innovative solutions.
Collaborate with the HR department to actively advertise, recruit, interview, select, hire, orient, train, develop, and retain staff members.
Supervise store staff, providing day-to-day direction, scheduling, and performance targets.
Ensure that the facility is well maintained and is a safe environment for staff and customers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a retail store setting, open to the public. While performing the duties of this job, exposure to outside weather conditions which can include inclement weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is typically performed on a level surface however the use of a ladder or working on an elevated surface may be required as needed. Temperature varies throughout the store ranging from -10 to 85 degrees. Required to regularly interact with customers to provide exceptional customer service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a retail work environment required.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Must possess the ability to work a flexible hourly schedule, which includes holidays and weekends.
Must possess and demonstrate competency and proficiency with computer use and spreadsheet creation and usage, word processing, email, and internet software.
Must have cash handling experience.
Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market.
Must be willing to travel to multiple locations across designated market. Travel up to 75%

Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. A degree in Business Management, Supply Chain/Wholesale Management, or Accounting / Finance strongly preferred.
