Our client is searching for a Retail Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of their retail store based in the Johannesburg City Centre The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the smooth running of operations to maximise sales and minimise costs as well as to motivate personnel to perform according to their maximum capacity
Responsibilities
Organise all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
Monitor stock levels and internal purchases and ensure they stay within budget
Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the stores reputation
Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
Plan and oversee instore promotional events or displays
Working experience of warehousing eg dispatch
Planning and developing and implementing merchandising strategies
Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store
Developing business strategies to raise our customers pool expand store traffic and optimise profitability
Meeting sales goals by training motivating mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
Ensuring high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
Analyse sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
Ensure the store fulfils all legal health and safety guidelines
Prepare and control the stores budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency
Requirements
3 to 5 years retail store management/ supervisory management experience
Proven experience and customer management skills
Relevant corporate retail shops experience like from PnP Shoprite etc
Knowledge of retail management best practices
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Excellent organising and leadership skills
Trust and reliability is a must
Commercial awareness
Analytical mind and excellent knowledge of retail management software
Matric/ Relevant Degree/ Diploma is desirable
