Overview As a dynamic, rapidly growing company, we are looking for a purpose-driven and dedicated talent to join our IT team. The Store System Engineer is responsible for administering and managing Smoothie King's back-office solution. The position requires expertise in various operational tools within Data Central, covering areas such as cost of goods, scheduling, payroll, and reporting. The role requires strong organizational skills, an aptitude for process improvement, and a commitment to promoting Smoothie King’s mission, culture, and core values. Gather, organize, and facilitate the onboarding of new products, recipes, inventory, vendor items and reporting. Work closely with purchasing and supply chain teams to streamline product information flow and updates. Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date product information in our database, including pricing, ingredients, and UOM. Conduct regular audits of product data to identify and correct inaccuracies or inconsistencies. Assist in the implementation of data governance practices to enhance data quality and reliability. Implement and oversee user access controls for the product database and related systems to ensure that only authorized personnel can access sensitive product data. Regularly review and update access permissions in line with staff changes and role adjustments. Perform quality assurance testing including, but not limited to new requests, enhancements, and integrations. Support store-side sales audit, inventory, scheduling set-up and labor reporting. Create and maintain internal knowledge base documentation. Effective use of Root Cause Analysis techniques to make constant improvements to back-office application. Responsibilities Excellent planning and organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization. Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects. Ability to work cross-functionally and to coordinate communication across diverse work groups. Interest in working in a fast-growing environment with changing responsibilities. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Hands-on BOH application troubleshooting experience. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Naturally personable with a friendly attitude in the face of adversity. Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience working with an inventory, back-office application: preferably in the restaurant retail sector, providing support for brands of 100+ locations. Experience with testing BOH applications including new releases, patches, and upgrades. Familiarity with change management and BOH related operational procedures & policies. Demonstrated experience managing user access and permissions in a data management system. Operational experience is a plus. Knowledge of food industry standards and regulations is a plus.
