At IHG we promise to give colleagues… + Room to Belong: Enable + Room to Grow: Enrich + Room to Make a Difference: Empower The InterContinental creates exceptional experiences through our Brand Values by being: + Thoughtful + Cultured + Remarkable We cultivate an engaging environment for our colleagues and guests by enlivening our IHG Core Values: + Do the right thing + Show we care + Aim higher + Celebrate difference + Work better together **About this position** This position is responsible for overseeing all receiving, storeroom inventory and operations. **A little taste of your day-to-day** Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: + Check shipment by comparing it with purchase order and/or invoice to insure what is being received is what was ordered (quantity, price, quality, state, size, count, weight tolerance and acceptable expiration date and received at the proper temperature). + Work in conjunction with Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef and Director of Finance to ensure appropriate handling, transport, and documentation of all food ordering and receiving between departments. + To follow/adhere to established standard operating procedures and local health regulations. + Document discrepancy and notify supervisor immediately of shortage. + Help to set up local vendors and products and communicate items that need to be used. + Assists with placing orders or any other reasonable task assigned. + Receives orders and rotates stock when putting the orders away. All incoming products need to be rotated and dated to ensure the products are rotated properly to avoid spoilage. + Assist in conducting End-Of-Month Physical Inventory. + Ensure the storeroom is clean and organized at all times. **Qualifications and Expectations:** + Minimum formal education of a high school diploma, or GED. + A minimum of one year of job-related experience in purchasing/inventory control/warehouse experience.
