Duties and Responsibilities + Receive, unload, unpack, inspect incoming material and reconcile to purchase orders for accuracy, quantity received and possible damaged material. + Receive material returned from users and identify if item can be returned to stock. + Follow up on outstanding purchase orders. + Contact personnel or departments with questions or notification of items received. + Place material on appropriate pallets, racks or shelves in assigned location. + Review stock material order points. + Perform physical inventory counts as needed. + Investigate inventory discrepancies. + Maintain accurate stock records through effective use of computerized scanning equipment and/or other inventory maintenance reports. + Pack and ship outgoing material to ensure safe delivery. + Assist in loading/unloading material on vehicles. + Rearrange shelving, racks, bins or any other equipment including moving same from one location to another within one building or to another building. This includes the possible disassembling of existing shelving, racks or bins and reassembling same elsewhere. + Efficiently and accurately select and gather material from approved requisitions for delivery and/or distribution to the appropriate personnel. + Sweep and clean work area and shelving as needed. + Input data into Oracle system as required. + Rotate inventory as necessary. + Some computer application skills may be required in order to receive job assignments, carry out necessary tasks, and report work activities. + Operates forklift (requires OSHA forklift training) and other material handling equipment such as dollies, pallet racks and electric lifts. + Other duties as assigned. Required Education (certifications, licenses) + High School diploma or the equivalent, required. Required knowledge, skill and abilities + Operations or Warehousing experience, preferred. Physical demands, environment and schedule + Usually Monday – Friday 8:00 to 4:30. Occasional OT is possible.
