Stores Attendant-B (Warehouse)
**Job Title: Stores Attendant-B** **Pay** $22/hr with yearly raises. Will start after 30 days with one week of PTO. **Job Description** We are seeking a motivated and dependable Stores Attendant-B to join our team. This role involves working with inventory management and material handling while adhering to safety protocols. The position requires candidates to work **Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30** pm with overtime as needed. The role is based at our Transmission Service Center. **Responsibilities** + Issue material under proper authorization and file required records, including picking up, hauling, and delivering materials. + Check received material for quantity, make visual inspections for identity, breakage, and condition, and process material receipt and related records. + Report irregularities and abnormal conditions. + Identify, sort, and record material returns, place usable material in stock, and sort non-usable material into scrap containers. + Operate computer terminals and printers supporting a materials management system. + Prepare and pack material for shipment or storage, including hazardous materials, following safety and environmental procedures. + Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, low lift trucks, hoists, and overhead cranes. + Assist supervisor with maintaining efficient storage of materials and making material location changes. + Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels through inventory cycle counts and perform discrepancy adjustments. + Perform duties in accordance with company safety rules, operating regulations, and practices. **Required Skills** + High School Diploma or GED + Minimum of one year of experience in inventory control, material handling, or warehousing. + Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. + Ability to perform basic math functions. + Good communication skills. + Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds and successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT). + Appropriate State driver's license. If a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required, it must be obtained within six months. + Experience with inventory management software such as Maximo. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with heavy equipment operation preferred. + Construction experience is helpful but training will be provided. + Ability to operate Case 821 Wheeloader, JLG Telehandler, and other equipment. **Work Environment** This role requires working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The dress code includes wearing steel toe boots, jeans, and a T-shirt with no inappropriate words or pictures. All other PPE is provided, but if you wear eyeglasses, side shields are required. Some local travel may be required, and the use of company vehicles will necessitate a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). **Job Type & Location** This is a long-term, contract to hire position based out of San Angelo, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
