Job Title: Storm Water Design Engineer
Job Description

As a Storm Water Design Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting site investigations and due diligence, including the review of ordinances, utility service research, agency regulations, and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines and Due Diligence Reports. You will also design stormwater management and conveyance systems using hydrology design software and AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Development Software. Experience in the design of civil infrastructure such as site planning, roads, drainage, grading, earthworks, containments, deep excavations, ponds, stormwater management, and erosion and sedimentation control water systems, sanitary sewer systems, and other municipal infrastructure is essential.

ResponsibilitiesConduct site investigations and due diligence, including reviewing ordinances, utility service research, agency regulations, and site visits.Design stormwater management and conveyance systems using hydrology design software.Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Development Software for design purposes.Design civil infrastructure including site planning, roads, drainage, grading, earthworks, containments, deep excavations, ponds, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control systems, sanitary sewer systems, and other municipal infrastructure.Perform hydraulic and hydrology modeling using software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and SWMM.Develop and prepare reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and construction submittal reviews.Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and watershed modeling using PC SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and other modeling software.Essential SkillsProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Land Development Software.Experience in civil engineering and design, specifically in stormwater, drainage, grading, and site development.Ability to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and watershed modeling using PC SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and other modeling software.Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in stormwater and civil 3D.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organization skills and problem-solving aptitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsEIT or PE engineer certification is preferred but not mandatory if sufficient experience is present.Experience with data center, commercial, or industrial projects is advantageous.Demonstrates accountability, commitment, and excellent work attitude.Work Environment

This is a remote position, open to hiring candidates with the right experience. The majority of our engineers work remotely, and this individual will be partnering with three other civil engineers on our team. We are looking for someone who can work independently with minimal training. We offer flexible work hours depending on your location, as long as projects and deadlines are met. Our company provides a competitive salary and benefits package, and we believe in maintaining a work-life balance. We work on large-scale industrial and commercial projects, including a hyperscale campus and data center on a 600-acre site and a commercial project on a 102-acre site.
