Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Stormwater Engineer with 4 or more years of experience to join our growing team in Greensboro, North Carolina!
Collaborating with our experienced Water Professionals, you will support and drive development of stormwater projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities. Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national, and global teams.
Role accountabilities:
The candidate in this role will evaluate, plan, design, permit and support management of projects for stormwater treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities). Travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
This role involves providing support for professional engineering services throughout construction projects, encompassing tasks like construction observation, shop drawing reviews, RFIs responses, and overseeing permit closeouts. Apart from these core responsibilities, the position entails conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater design and watershed management, participating in sustainability projects, preparing various project-related materials, ensuring project compliance with Arcadis standards, and fostering timely project completion within budget.
Furthermore, the role requires both independent work and collaboration within a diverse team to effectively handle project requirements nationwide. Additionally, the use of digital tools is essential to enhance customer engagement, facilitate team and client cooperation, and optimize project delivery efficiency. This includes leveraging platforms such as SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality to streamline processes and improve overall project outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
4 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or a related field of study. EIT Certification or Professional Engineering (PE) License.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in design or consulting engineering or Municipal work environment. Project leadership experience including managing overall project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring. Prior construction observation experience. Client management experience, including preparation and development of proposals and client relationship building. Experience/training with AutoCAD and/or Revit. Master of Science/Engineering in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.Why Arcadis?

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $70,800 - $106,200/year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
