Adecco is recruiting for a **1st Shift Straightener** for a client in **East Syracuse, NY.** This is a **temp-to-hire** position, paying **$16-17/hour.** **About the Role:** Are you detail-oriented and enjoy hands-on work? Join a dynamic manufacturing team as a **1st Shift Straightener** , where you'll play a key role in ensuring the precision and quality of metal castings. This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in metal finishing, heat treatment, and quality control while working in a supportive and safety-focused environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Straighten and heat treat castings to prepare them for machining or shipment. + Use grinders and sanders to remove excess material from castings. + Load and operate T-4 and T-6 ovens to meet customer specifications. + Use fixtures, gauges, hammers, and templates to ensure proper alignment of castings. + Maintain accurate production records and ensure test bar traceability. + Follow all safety procedures, use protective equipment, and maintain a clean workspace. + Support quality management processes and company standards. **What We’re Looking For:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + At least **6 months of experience** in a metal finishing or related manufacturing role preferred. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision tools. + Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform hands-on tasks. **Why You’ll Love This Job:** + Temp-to-hire opportunity with growth potential. + Gain hands-on experience in manufacturing and metal finishing. + Work in a team-oriented and safety-first environment.
