POSITION SUMMARY

Shift: Monday - Thursday 7am - 7pm

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Stranding Operator to join our dynamic team in the Stranding department in our Seymour power cable manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be operate the rigid and semi-automatic stranders and maintain high-quality standards in the production of power cables.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Review work orders / product documentation  Load and unload spools with raw material and finished product Set up machines: load pay off reels and spools, remove empty spools, guide wire through machine, change dies and gears Operate and monitor conductor machines, take-up, and pay-offsRespond to operational issues as they occur Make samples for Quality   Gauge / inspect product Load and operate wire chopper Operate fork trucks and reel mover  Monitor supply of raw material Generate labels, apply to product, and document in the ERP databaseCut off, secure, wrap and remove finished product from line to storage Trouble shoot line problems and repair or request assistance as indicated Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor promptly.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONSQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machinery or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in cable or wire manufacturing.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Physical fitness to handle heavy equipment and the ability to stand for extended periods. Knowledge Familiarity with production line management and quality assurance standards.Competence in basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.Effective communication skills for reporting and team coordination.

Target Compensation:$20/hr
