Under general direction, this position acts as a liaison between customers and Ferrellgas locations that serve them. The incumbent handles various stages of bid submission, bid award, and contract management.
Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance401 (K) with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Wellness Program Responsibilities Supports a portfolio of government contracts throughout the lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, performance, and terminationsReviews and analyzes bid opportunities, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.Collaborates with local sales teams, and other teams to gather necessary information for bid submission Reviews, drafts, and submits responses to RFP requests timely and accurately; some submissions can be 50+ pagesPrepares and disperses information to appropriate staff members regarding contract statusMaintains accurate contract files including original documents, correspondence, and amendments on internal serversManages dedicated email inbox daily, responding to customer concerns and questions in a timely mannerFacilitates and leads occasional conference calls with internal team members as well as customersProduces weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports via excelAssist National Accounts Team as necessary Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar is preferred2+ years project management and/or contract experience; preferred but not requiredPropane industry experience is a plus, but not requiredMust be organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong time management Self-motivated, creative, and results-drivenSolid PC spreadsheet modeling skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.Experience working independently as well as collaboratively; effectively managing competing priorities while meeting hard deadlines in a fast-paced working environmentStrong oral, written and interpersonal skills. Strong public speaking skills requiredPeopleSoft experience preferred.Strong customer service skills.Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
