Strategic Account Manager, Space Force
The Red Hat Public Sector team is looking for a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to enable and grow our Space Force portfolio. With primary focus on the customer's missions, the SAM must have a proven capability to collaborate with an ecosystem of federal System Integrators and partners. The SAM serves as the primary thought leader for the Space Force and Red Hat Sales team and is able to speak to the business value and relevance of Red Hat solutions to solve customers' missions. The SAM understands policy direction, underlying challenges, operational concerns, and pitfalls. Additionally, the SAM Understands where policy and financial issues intersect. The SAM manages executive-level relationships and is able to craft compelling messages and help customers and partners support their critical missions and IT modernization efforts using Red Hat services and solutions. Responsible for maintaining existing relationships, as well as building new executive-level relationships to create program pursuit opportunities and pipeline. As a SAM, you have a detailed understanding of your customer's missions, needs, and challenges, articulating the value of Red Hat's solutions and how they can achieve customer needs. Job Responsibilities + Communicate Red Hat's values and visions to the executive and management levels of customer organizations + Understands Policy direction and execution through programs and finance + Successfully articulate solutions and services in the field with the account team + Develop new account areas of focus within the assigned accounts + Represent Red Hat to customers and customers to Red Hat in sales-related matters + Help exceed POD-level assigned sales quotas + Be an effective member of a team, able to productively interact with the sales team, consisting of account executives, solutions architects, insides sales representatives, consultants, engagement managers, and Red Hat's senior management + Participate and collaborate in the Capture process + Attend and participate in customer meetings, industry and agency events, and social media to demonstrate thought leadership + Maintain a minimum pipeline requirement + Participate in all relevant gate review and ERB sessions Required Skills - At least 15 years experience working in or directly with the Space Force - Experience in Business development, or Senior Sales representative roles, with proven track record of meeting quantitative and qualitative goals - Bachelor's degree; further education is a plus - Must have detailed understanding of the Air Force mission, policy, funding, politics, and relevant programs - Thorough understanding of the military's acquisition process - Ability to collaborate as part of a team, while demonstrating the flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work without direct supervision - Have a foundational knowledge of effective proposal development and translation of technical capability to mission solving - Willingness to travel as much as 25% The salary range for this position is $258,130.00 - $438,710.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. **Pay Transparency** Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
