The Sales Executive operates as a sales consultant to specific end-users or large multi-region contractors. This can include public agencies, contractors, and corporate accounts. The primary objectives are to help secure the sale of our products and act as a product liaison between the end users and their desired landscape irrigation company. This person would be a strategist who is also skilled at broadening influence deep into customer organizations, developing key relationships, and levering Rain Bird SBU groups to influence our sales. It could also be a product expert skilled at communicating and demonstrating the advantages of our newer technology products, while providing feedback on customer needs and competitive products.
Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for Rain Bird within these specific customers. Develop and implement account plans to aggressively grow our sales and market share.Analyze sales results, conduct product demonstrations, educate customer employees, and work with our local regional teams to secure or maintain large projects.Coordinate product needs with the Distributor Managers and Contractors Account Manager at the regional level.Develop relationships with decision makers within accounts across all geographies.Evaluate competitive product changes and communicate updates.Maintain and utilize CRM to benchmark results.Attend and participate in large industry shows such as ASLA, WaterSmart, SFMA, and other organizations for the purpose of networking and generating opportunities to sell Rain Bird products. Identify new business broadening opportunities for Rain Bird such as influencing smart irrigation, turf preservation, and other new trends.This position requires approximately 50% overnight travel. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline or business. Ten or more years of sales experience with a track record of success with large customers and account teams.Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects.Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.Aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic and tactical thinking, and detailed planning.Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills.
