In this role, you’ll take charge of operational and strategic procurement activities within our local and regional plant sites, ensuring seamless business operations. You will be the one point of contact for both suppliers and internal teams, having the focus of stabilizing the supply base and managing and assure the grow of demand according to the business strategy.

Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Manage and implement strategic procurement processes, responding to business needs and optimizing procurement solutions both nationally and internationally. Negotiate with strategic suppliers, primarily Italian but also international, ensuring that agreements support business priorities and long-term competitiveness. Work in synergy with the Commodity Managers to select, engage, and manage key suppliers, optimizing performance and promoting relationships that effectively meet business requirements. Create and manage long-term partnerships with suppliers, aiming to build win-win relationships that ensure continuity, stability, and mutual benefits. Monitor and align supplier production capacities with business forecasts, actively collaborating to resolve misalignments and optimize the supply flow. Manage price negotiations and contract modifications, ensuring that terms are competitive and respond flexibly to the dynamic needs of the business. Maintain and update procurement data, including supplier-related information, ensuring it is always accurate and easily accessible in enterprise systems such as SAP. Work closely with the global procurement team and Business Units to continuously improve processes, address market challenges, and meet business needs, always with a strategic approach focused on growth. Background & Skills Academic background in Mechanical Engineering, Management, or a related field. At least 6 years of experience in international, moderately structured environments, in roles related to procurement, operations, or supply chain, preferably with experience in managing strategic suppliers. Proven experience in managing categories and components in hydraulic systems, with a preference for those familiar with the industry. Ability to manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders, with experience in mediating difficult situations and reaching solutions. Knowledge of supply chain management, particularly in supplier selection, negotiation, and management, with a focus on cost optimization and supply stability. Expertise in Total Cost of Ownership analysis and the application of strategies to obtain the best possible value from each supplier, aiming for sustainable and mutually beneficial solutions. In-depth knowledge of key IT tools such as SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, and the ability to use them effectively to support daily activities. Excellent command of both Italian and English, written and spoken, to communicate with colleagues and suppliers at an international level.
