HDR is seeking a communications intern with a drive to learn. The successful candidate will support communications and graphic design professionals in the execution of creative services, strategic communications, and branding programs for transportation and water clients. The ideal candidate will have an interest in copywriting and/or graphic design to support a wide range of creative deliverables including but not limited to brand development, infographics, organic social media posts, digital and print advertisements, email campaigns, flyers, reports, presentations, maps/wayfinding graphics, stylized templates, and written and visual assets for digital and video productions.
Who You Are:You're a self-starter with the ability to learn new skills quickly in a fast-paced environment.You're interested in applying your communications and/or design academic experience to a professional consulting environment.You have exceptional attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsMust be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Advertising, Creative Writing, Marketing program (or similar).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Basic Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Illustrator, specifically).Preference for 2 years completed toward a degree with 3.0 GPA.Strong preference given to local candidates.Please note that HDR does not provide financial assistance for relocation or housing expenses related to this position.
