Strategic Communicator
**Responsibilities** This position will function as the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Strategic Communicator for the DTRA On-Site Inspection and Building Capacity (OB) Directorate as a member of the Mission Support Team in support of the Front Office. The OB Directorate enables the Department of Defense, the U.S. Government, and International Partners to counter and deter Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) by conducting Arms Control and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Building Partner Capacity Activities. This is primarily a strategic communications role to communicate OB activities both internally and externally to showcase missions which provide insight into DTRA's Mission to Deter, Prevent, and Prevail. The OB Directorate strategic communications support involves development and editing of a variety of products to promote and message OB mission successes across the agency as well as to external audiences. The Strategic Communicator serves as primary source of preparing, editing, reviewing, and posting of strategic messaging, ensuring the OB Director has awareness and the opportunity to review internal and external communications before they are published. The Strategic Communicator is directly responsible for preparing the OB Director's weekly talking points for the DTRA Director's Staff Meeting (DSM) and the OB Semi-Monthly Key Accomplishment report and ghost emails, on the behalf of the OB Director, submitted to the DTRA Director. DUTIES + Prepare the OB Director's weekly talking points for the DSM. + Prepare the OB Director's semi-monthly Key Accomplishment report. + Draft a wide assortment of executive-level written deliverables including but not limited to ghost emails, articles, speeches, newsletters, and internal blogs for the OB Director. + Manage all social media content, with coordination via DTRA Public Affairs (PA), for external Agency posting. + Serve as the subject matter expert and central point of contact for the OB team on the DTRA Public Affairs process. + Create and coordinate a monthly schedule of social media and internal blog postings. + Serve as the OB central point of contact for all requests to the DTRA Visual Information team + Submit requests for photography support, graphics support and video support. + Provide logistic support for all off-site meetings, town halls, and training week. + Conduct research, capture images, and interview personnel to write stories of interest. + Create, direct, and produce promotional, training, and other videos. + Serve as the OB central point of contact for information resiliency + Perform ad hoc duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, English or related field and 5+ years of related and project management experience + Travel up to 25% of the time + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suites + Demonstrated ability to write for Senior Leaders + Ability to work collaboratively and independently + Strong attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills + TS/SCI Security Clearance **Desired Qualifications** + Master's Degree + 10+ years of related and project management experience + 3+ years of related Public Affairs and / or Communications experience + Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) or Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) experience **Overview** Noblis (http://www.noblis.org/) and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI , and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
