Location/Division Specific Information

You will craft and support scalable, data analytical solutions in our Business Operations team. This role involves data engineering concepts, data visualization deployment using Power BI, and predictive analytics.

A day in the Life:

Establishes relationships with business leaders to gain trust, advocate for data solutions, and ensure it is producing the intended results.

Crafting, detailing, and documenting a data solution architectureCollaborating with developers and analysts for successful project deliveryProvide Power BI report writing and development expertise to the global Supply Chain teamMaintain a Power BI reporting suite, ensuring daily reports are refreshed on timeGain a deep understanding of the Life Science business for the Global Supply Chain and Operations reporting suite. Be adaptable to changes and able to scale solutions for a large enterprise.Apply effective housekeeping ensuring reporting accuracy and stabilityProactively addressing scalability and performance issuesDesign, build, and deploy Power BI solutions (e.g. reports and dashboards, visualizations)Provide technical support and troubleshooting of data solutions, including investigation of data issues, validation, and load balancing.Keys to Success:Leads with a continuous improvement approach both within their team and for the broader organization.Develops and coordinates the execution of strategies for advancing the analytics maturity of multiple distributed analytics teams.Help create clear road maps that connect predictive analytics projects with business needs. Lead functional teams in implementing and using advanced and predictive analytics software tools and functions.Lead the performance and integration of advanced Machine Learning & Predictive analytics to promote understanding of different business areas or critical business challenges/opportunities.Interpret the business need and identify solution recommendations to business problems at a business unit level. Lead the improvement efforts to be made that are within span of control at this level.Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization across multiple domains.Stay informed about current industry trends and standard methodologies in supply chain and operations analytics.Continuously seek ways to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for greater efficiency.EducationBS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience4+ years working experience in delivering data solutions.4+ years of experience in fields related to data engineering, business intelligence (visualization/dashboard/reporting), data science, data analysis, business analysis4+ years of experience applying SQL or another data extraction language and 1 additional programming language (preferably Python or PySpark)4+ years of experience leading analytics developersSupply chain consulting experience driving large scale transformations is a plusHands-on experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projectsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesWorking knowledge of relational database design and data modelingStrong written and verbal communication skills (English)Ability to communicate with internal and external customers (including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences)Expert in Data ModelingKnowledgeable on Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Ability to extract insights from large amounts of data and share with decision-makersServer ManagementServer up-timePower BI Gateway administrationData EngineeringExpert in SQL queriesExperience in handling multi-million record datasetsExperience with Common Table ExpressionsEnsure data integrity, consistency, and quality across all systems to provide accurate and reliable data for analysis.Data Visualizations with Power BIProficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktopKnowledge of MDX, M Query and Power QueryExperience in bringing to bear parametersExpertise in using advance level calculations on the data setEmploy standard processes to ensure deployed reports are structured efficiently including visualizationsExperience in using DAX StudioExperience in using Tabular EditorBenefits
